Design:
1- Case : for indoor use.
2- Suitcase : Safe transport case for your mouthpieces. The inside is completely padded with egg-box faced foam. The foam holds mouthpieces in place and blocks any movement when the case is closed.
Note that mouthpieces must have their ligature to be blocked.

Wood choice :
I love pine and its grain. For suitcases, I however advise more durable wood (mahogany, ash, Maple etc).
