Saxophonist for many years, I bought many mouthpieces to find the perfect sound ... It lacked a way to store and carry them safely.
I have often found that collectors piled their treasures in deep and dark drawers. This presents a danger, as mouthpieces may clash against one another and get damaged. The tip rail is certainly the most fragile part. That's where the sound originates... or doesn't.
I have tried to build a case that protects efficiently against shocks.
Temperature variations are attenuated and the case is also designed to prevent the mouthpiece to move during transport. It supports a light rain and regulates heat shocks.
And most importantly, I felt that we needed a chest to showcase the beauty of our treasures.
